Ulsterbus pension challenge set for High Court

Roads Minister Danny Kennedy said: “Translink has advised that there is a current legal challenge, which dates back a number of years regarding the historical calculation of a number of Ulsterbus employee pensions.”

He said no firm date for the hearing had been arranged but it was expected to take place in May.

Mr Kennedy said neither he nor Translink could discuss the Ulsterbus pensions.

“As this case is currently sub-judice, Translink is not in a position to comment on the detail pertaining to this matter ahead of the High Court hearing.

“For the reasons set out above, I do not think it would be appropriate to make a statement on potential costs at this time,” he said.
