Vandals damage Eglinton cricket pitch

EGLINTON cricket pitch has been extensively damaged by vandals in an overnight attack.

Covers of the pitch were pulled apart and a substance poured over the grass causing extensive damage.

The damage occurred in the Cottage Row area of Eglinton on the night of Tuesday (July 23) and Wednesday (July 24). A report was received at 9.40am on Wednesday that damage had been caused to the cricket pitch. Contact Strand Road on 0845 600 8000.
