Villiers backs new Commission
Secretary of State Theresa Villiers says she is certain the divisive Parades Commission will continue to tackle its difficult role with diligence and fortitude.
Speaking at Westminster she said: “The Parades Commission operates independently of the Government in accordance with the Public Processions (NI) Act of 1998.
“I am certain that the new Parades Commission will tackle the difficult role which they have taken on with diligence and fortitude.”
