UKIP vowsit’s here tostay in city

UKIP’s Kyle Thompson said the party was here to stay in Londonderry after increasing its share of the vote compared with the Local Government elections last year.

He polled 832 well ahead of Hamish Badenoch of the Conservatives who received 132 votes.

“UKIP is a relatively new party in this city but we’ve increased out share from the local Council elections and I’d like to thank all our supporters out there and say, we are here to stay,” said Mr Thompson.
