Alan said: “I would echo statements by the various prominent Leave campaign figures who are now calling for unity of purpose - to regain our freedom, democracy and liberty (and) will work with all the leave campaigns and anyone willing to help take back our country.”

UKIP leader Nigel Farage MEP, said: “We in UKIP, as I’ve said from the start, will work with anyone that wants to leave the EU.

“We must work together to get our country out of the European Union. UKIP as the only national anti-EU political party and with a £4m spending limit will of course play a major role in this campaign.”

While UKIP’s Northern Ireland leader David McNarry MLA added: “All organisations seeking Brexit must all pull together to achieve a successful outcome in the EU referendum in June.

“People will never forget that without Nigel Farage none of this would be happening and David Cameron would never have conceded the referendum in the first place.

“Now, we really are all in this together and we must work together to set our country free. The last hour of the EU will be the first hour of freedom!”

All of UKIP’s candidates in the Assembly election have backed their leader’s call.
