The Aghadowey native, who has lived in Londonderry for over two decades, was asked to write four more observations for the programme, following his successful series which went out on air in September and October last year.

The new series will follow a similar format and will be aired at 6.55am and 8.55am, just prior to the news on April 9, 16, 23 and 30.

In addition to the new series of features for the programme, Wilson has also been asked to write a third series of his Ulster Scots observations for the programme to be aired in the summer.

The recordings take place at BBC Radio Foyle and are three minutes in length, featuring interesting and stimulating every-day observations with a Christian twist referring to an excerpt from The Bible.

Wilson has made over 100 appearances on the radio programme ‘A Kist O Wurds’ and his recordings for Thought For the Day have been commended by Fr Brian D’Arcy.

The Ulster Scots poet is also currently working on a series of 10 unique pieces for a CD recording for the Faith Mission Bookshop chain.
