Tony McDaid, Assistant Service Delivery Manager, at Translink said it will introduce additional off-peak services to Currynierin and Top of the Hill.

“We regularly monitor our services and listen to our passengers and stakeholders to identify and consider new opportunities for growth. On further review of our timetable schedules we will be increasing the off peak frequency of some of our City service routes including Curryneirin (FY4) and Gobnascale (FY5) which will now operate every 30 minutes.

“The Ballymagroarty area, served by FY10 and FY11 is set to benefit from a combined service frequency of every 20 minutes following the introduction of additional services on the FY10 route. We’re confident these changes will offer our customers more choice, flexibility and better access to the city centre.

“In addition, we would also remind Derry~Londonderry residents that the great value £2 day return promotional fare is still available on Foyle city services after 9.30 a.m. until the end of March. We hope these latest developments along with our range of good value tickets will attract even more people to use the service,” he concluded.

Jim Roddy, City Centre Manager, Derry City Centre Initiative, added: “I am delighted to welcome the additional Translink Ulsterbus services. The ease of access they bring will help to create opportunities in the City Centre.”
