The unemployment rate has decreased to 4.6%, and local MP David Simpson has paid tribute to employers throughout the constituency:

“I was very pleased to hear that unemployment rates had again fallen. This is evidence of how the business community in Banbridge, Lurgan, and Portadown are determined to survive. I meet regularly with business owners and know too well the pressures they face. I admire their consistent resolve to push through to sustain jobs and keep businesses afloat. I thank the local people - without their willingness to do business locally our economy would not survive.”
