After being contacted by a constituent, Mr Stevenson said: “The area concerned is on the town side of the Kilraughts Road on the right hand side heading up from what is known as Trolans roundabout to the entrance to Grange Drive.

“I would not like anyone to fall here as a result of any uneven surface or receive injuries as a result. I have met with Roads Service and the person involved to show the area and to allow concerns to be raised. I hope action can be taken to make this stretch of footpath more level.”

The DUP representative added that the safety of footpaths is becoming more of an issue with people having contacted him about Main Street too.

He added: “I do thank Roads Service for the work they have done in other areas and hope these current issues can be resolved.”
