Unicef table quizat Bushfoot

Bushfoot Golf Club, Portballintrae, was the venue for an enjoyable table quiz which raised £245 for the work of Unicef (United Nations Children’s Fund).

The June 13 quiz was organised by Ian Coulter and the intriguing questions presented a stiff challenge to those taking part.

The winning team was Baldilocks and the Three Hares (112 points), with The Captain’s Crew a close second and the Care Bears third Mrs. Margaret Binnie, Chairman of the Coleraine and District Branch of Unicef, welcomed those present and spoke briefly of Unicef, the world’s leading organisation for children, which works in more than 190 countries throughout the world.

Afterwards Mrs. Binnie thanked Ian Coulter for organising the table quiz so efficiently and supplying the prizes.

She also thanked the scorer, Kerrie Laverty, Bushfoot Golf Club for the use of their comfortable premises, the members of the Unicef branch for the raffle prizes, and all who had taken part and contributed to the success of the evening.
