Uninsured cars seized in Ballymena area

POLICE in Ballymena have seized a number of cars which were being used without insurance.

It is understood the vehicles were seized during the last weekend of September.

Commenting on the issue, Inspector Pete Bouma of Ballymena PSNI said that police have the power to seize uninsured vehicles and also those which cause nuisance, such as scramblers and quads.

He added that over the summer months, a number of mopeds were seized.
