Unionist opposes Maze plans

Glengormley councillor Mark Cosgrove has urged the First Minister “to do the right thing” over proposals for the former Maze prison site.

The Ulster Unionist was speaking after his party passed a motion opposing the retention of the prison buildings at the site.

Councillor Cosgrove said: “There is growing opposition to the Maze proposals from right across the community.

“It is still not too late for the First Minister to do what’s right,” he said.
