Battle of the Choirs

Coleraine and Ballymoney Community Rescue Service are holding Battle of the Choirs to help raise funds to put a new fast response boat in the River Bann. The event will run on 27th May at The Diamond at Coleraine University at 7.30pm. Tickets are £10 at The Community Rescue Service Shop on Bridge Street in Coleraine. The choirs are: Sainsbury’s Coleraine, Ballymoney Rugby Club, Finvoy YFC, Causeway Coast and Glens Council, Heart of the Family (Family in Focus and Sure Start) and Community Rescue Service.

Table quiz

RNLI Ballymoney Branch invites you to a Table Quiz at Bushfoot Golf Club, Portballintrae on Friday 27th May, at 8.15pm. £3 per person. Proceeds in aid of RNLI Ballymoney Branch.

Historical Talk

Dr Bob Curran will be giving two talks on the history of Ballybogey and the surrounding area in Ballybogey Community Hall on May 4th and 11th from 7-9pm. Donations and light supper provided. Hosted by Ballybogey Over 50s Club.

Reformers Service

The Royal Black Encampment of the Knights of Malta will be holding their annual ‘Reformers Service’ on Sunday 8th May in Ballinagarvey Orange Hall at 3.30pm DV. Guest speaker is Mr Phil Moffett.

Leaf dance

The next Autumn Leaf dance is on May 9 in Magherahoney Hall. Music by “Sprig of Heather”. Dancing from 8.30 pm to 11.45 pm. Admission £4 including supper. Everyone welcome.

BOVC Annual Show and Family Fun Day

Ballymoney Old Vehicle Club Annual Show and Family Fun Day will be held this Saturday (May 7) from 10am to 4.30pm.

The event, which will include amusements, live music and Vintage Car Rally, will take place at Ballymoney Showgrounds.

Treasure Hunt

Rasharkin Presbyterian Sunday School are holding a Treasure Hunt on Friday, May 6 with cars leaving the Church Hall from 7pm. Proceeds will go to the Presbyterian Church in Ireland Youth and Children’s Project, entitled Change our World. This will help children and young people in Africa and Ireland to have their voice heard.

Car boot sale

The Building Committee of the Ballymoney Church of God on the Garryduff Road have arranged another car boot sale in the spacious youth halls this

Saturday 7th May.

The event will run from 11:00am with stalls priced from £5.00. The halls will be opened at 10:30pm on Friday evening prior to the sale for stallholders to set up. To book a table please contact Marlene or Peter on 028 2766 8029.

‘Bethany Kitchen’ will be serving hot dogs, burgers and chips while inside the halls tea, coffee, soup, stew, sandwiches and cakes will be available.
