Update: Hoax sparked security alert in Maghera
Police say a security alert at Sunnyside Drive in Maghera has now ended, after a suspicious object was declared a hoax.
Inspector Sam Shearer said: “The street has re-opened and residents have been allowed back to their homes. ATO examined a suspicious object and have declared it a hoax.
“I would appeal to anyone who noticed any suspicious activity in the area or who has any information about this incident to contact police in Magherafelt on 101.”
