UPDATE: Man in hospital following serious road traffic collision
A man was taken to hospital following a serious road traffic collision on Lake Road last night (Saturday, November 21).
The man in his 20s was struck by a car shortly after 7pm on Lake Road between the Lakes roundabout and Rushmere roundabout.
Police investigating this collision are keen to speak to witnesses or anyone who was travelling on the road at around this time and who may have seen a group of males walking on the road side or anything else that could help the investigation.

The man’s injuries were not described as life threatening. The road has reopened.
