Upper Bann Fusiliers annual band parade planned for Saturday night

Upper Bann Fusiliers are holding their annual band parade this Saturday night in the town.

The host band will parade from the Royal British Legion at 7.15pm around the town to the War Memorial for a wreath Laying service. The main parade will start at 7.45pm from Shearf Drive and proceed the normal route through the town centre where it will finish in Union Street beside the Royal British Legion.

A band spokesman said: ”We would appeal to all families in and around the town to come out in support of our parade and enjoy a showcase event with various types of marching bands on 
display.

“This parade is sure to be a great night, the band supports the PSNI in a zero tolerance approach to alcohol during the parade and have worked hard to create a family friendly event.

“If you wish to join the band why not come along to our practices each Monday night from 7pm to 9pm in Brownlow House, we are currently recruiting fluters and girls for the colour party, full tuition will be given.”
