Urgent action needed says Blaney

THE new Vice-Chair of Moyle District Council, Independent councillor Seamus Blaney, says urgent action is needed on the sewage treatment system in Ballycastle.

Cllr Blaney said hold-ups in improving the capacity of the system is impacting on new housing schemes in Ballycastle and has now even spread to Carey.

Cllr Blaney told the Times over ten new homes planned for Ramoan Road in Ballycastle are being delayed because the sewerage system cannot cope and another scheme in the town is also affected.
