Use the bus and train to get back into shape

TRANSLINK and Fitness First have teamed up with an exclusive offer to help get bus and train passengers back into shape for the New Year.

Translink passengers can pick up a week’s free gym membership at any Fitness First gym in Northern Ireland - including Coleraine - on presentation of a valid Translink ticket/pass.

The gym will also be visiting local bus and train stations over the coming weeks to help passengers to get back on track with their health routines.

Carol Marsden, Brand Manager, Translink, says that an exciting programme of events has been arranged to leave passengers feeling motivated and energised:

“This is traditionally a time of year when many of us feel the consequences of overindulgence during the festive break and with the New Year now underway, we want to help people feel and look their best.

“Our customers can take advantage of a five-point Health Check with Fitness First trainers that will help them target problem areas affecting their general fitness.

Edward Lynam, General Manager, Fitness First, said: “For people who want to get 2010 off to a healthy start, they can make a big difference to their lifestyle just by introducing 30 minutes of moderate exercise during their daily routine. We are giving all Translink customers the opportunity to accelerate their health and fitness goals with access to specialised equipment, fitness programmes and group fitness classes in any of our five clubs across Northern Ireland.”
