UUP Chairman visits Londonderry

Despite narrowly missing a second seat in the Waterside, Lord Empey said the future of the UUP was bright.

However, he also sounded a warning about the new super councils, and questioned the way in which areas had been amalgamated to create them.

Last year’s local government election was a good one for the UUP, according to the Party Chairman, Lord Empey.
