UUP North Antrim candidates for assembly announced

The Ulster Unionist Party has announced its two candidates for North Antrim for the next Assembly election.

Sitting MLA Robin Swann, who is currently the Chairperson of the Assembly’s Employment and Learning Committee, will be joined by Andrew Wright, who stood previously for the Ulster Unionist Party at the last council elections in the Bannside DEA. Andrew farms between Rasharkin and Cullybackey and is currently a member of the Cullybackey Development Association.

Mike Nesbitt, Leader of the Ulster Unionist Party, said: “Robin has had a remarkable first term in the Assembly and has been an extremely valuable member of the team as UUP Chief Whip and as a voice for North Antrim. The Ulster Unionist Party is in growth mode and Andrew is an example of the increasing number of talented young members joining the party and running for election. I hope that he can join Robin in the Assembly and provide North Antrim with a formidable Ulster Unionist team there.”
