Vance joins TUV

Experienced political commentator and activist David Vance, who was at one stage deputy leader of the UKUP, has joined the party.

He is well-known for his robust unionist views as the man who runs the political blog, “A Tangled Web.

TUV leader Jim Allister welcomed him to the party and said: “I am delighted David has come on board. He is one of the most articulate spokesmen unionism has produced. I have no doubt the TUV will benefit greatly from his wide experience and contribution.

“With talent such as that of David Vance, the TUV is growing and progressing. I look forward to David helping in that process and I am pleased he is joining us in the canvassing for the Lurgan by-election.”

David Vance said that he believed the TUV offered a fresh, positive and principled alternative for unionists who were looking to see real change.

He said: “I am proud to associate myself with Jim Allister and hope I can contribute to future success. The TUV is the natural home for unionists looking a change for the better.”
