Councillor McFalone has said that the most recent act of vandalism at the Maghera Park and Ride Bus shelter has caused disappointment and anger amongst the local community and those who avail of the Bus Service at that point.

Councillor McFalone added: “Many people use this bus shelter on a daily basis either commuting, attending appointments and visiting at Altnagelvin Hospital.

“The damaged Bus Shelter has now left many local people waiting on the bus to Derry standing in the rain. This is an intolerable situation especially in the winter months.

“I have expressed my concerns with Translink and Magherafelt District Council and I have requested that urgent repairs are carried out at this much needed facility.”
