Vehicles stolen in ‘creeper burglary’
Local police are investigating a creeper style burglary in the Kiln Lodge area on Thursday,
November 13.
Investigating officer, Constable Mike Currie said, “Entry had been gained to a house in Kiln Lodge sometime overnight between Wednesday 12th and Thursday, November 13. Two cars, a Vauxhall Insignia and a Vauxhall Astra, were taken as a result of the burglary. Two males were reported as acting suspiciously in the area of Turmoyra Court at around 12.45am.
The men left in a white Honda jeep which was found abandoned in Silverwood Green a short time later. A seat Leon car was reported to have been broken into in Silverwood Green and a number of items taken. The stolen Vauxhall Insignia was recovered in Beechmount Parade in west Belfast on Friday, November 14.” The Astra has yet to be recovered.
