Venture girls step up for Operation Lipstick challenge

LOCALS are being urged to take part in a ladies only challenge event which will raise vital funds for TinyLife, Northern Ireland’s premature and vulnerable baby charity.

Operation Lipstick will challenge teams of six ladies on a number of mental and physical challenges including raft racing and a wall climbing. It will take place on Saturday March 24 in Castlewellan Forest Park. Venture Photography in Lisburn have worked alongside TinyLife for over five years now and although they are best known for the annual calendar that they produce featuring TinyLife babies, they are always keen to support the charity with fundraising events. To date, staff members have participated in everything from abseiling to skydiving.

This is the second year that the ladies from Venture Photography have taken part in the challenge. Managing Director Julie McBride said: “Operation Lipstick is the most fun we’ve had in terms of fundraising for the charity. On the day, we got stuck into everything from orienteering to raft building and the competitive spirit between the teams was good-natured. We are all really looking forward to taking part again this year.”
