Victoria’s new role to boost BB

The Boys’ Brigade has appointed a Dromore woman as its new Development Worker to help grow membership across Northern Ireland.

Victoria Flanagan (28) has joined the organisation with the aim of setting up 12 units and attracting new members and volunteers.

She joins from Hillsborough Presbyterian Church where she worked for six years.

Victoria said: “I’m thoroughly enjoying my role with The Boys’ Brigade and am excited about furthering the work of the organisation across Northern Ireland by creating new groups as well as recruiting new members and helpers.

“The Boys’ Brigade offers young people the opportunity to learn new skills, build confidence, make new friends and have fun. We’ve a fantastic programme that is engaging and culturally relevant but still holds true to Biblical teaching.”

Jonathan Gracey, Director of The Boys’ Brigade in Northern Ireland, said: “We’re delighted to welcome Victoria to our development team in Northern Ireland. The organisation is fully committed to growing its membership and Victoria will be instrumental in doing that.”
