Video: Arrest of Michaella in Peru
A DRAMATIC video has emerged showing Dungannon woman Michaella McCollum Connolly just moments after she was arrested on suspicion of attempting to smuggle around £1.5m worth of drugs onto a flight out of Peru.
In the video, Michaella is seen being questioned by a customs official at the capital’s Jorge Chávez International Airport.
The Dungannon woman states that she is travelling to Madrid and then on to Mallorca.
When asked if she knew there were drugs in her suitcases, friend Melissa Reid says: “I was forced to take these bags in my luggage.”
