Video: Ballymena’s Christmas Market

The first of its kind in the town, it was held at Wellington Court on Friday, December 13, from 2-9pm and Saturday, December 14, from 10am-4pm.

The ‘Town Centre Christmas Food & Craft Market’ will featured local crafts, and a wide variety of goodies and seasonal treats including a hog roast, sweet and savoury crepes, cupcakes, non-alchoholic mulled wine and roasted chestnuts.

Crowds were waiting in anticipation for the gates to be opened and when Mayor of Ballymena Audrey Wales officially opened the event, in they flocked.

Councillor Wales said: “This is the first and hopefully the beginning of an annual event. I know how much hard work and effort has went into it, so well done.

“You’ve put it together giving consideration to local producers and our retailers. The market has a vast array of stalls catering for everybody.”
