Community floral and artistic creativity has been recognised at the annual Carrickfergus in Bloom awards lunch.

Upwards of 90 people attended the presentation organised by Carrickfergus Borough Council at which ‘Best Kept’ competition winners and runners-up received their well-earned certificates and prizes from the Mayor, Alderman Charles Johnston.

Congratulating all the participants, Alderman May Beattie, chairperson of Parks, Countryside and Amenities sub-committee, said: “This year over 1,230 people created some beautiful floral displays that we can all enjoy.”
