Video: Christmas cheer in Cookstown as lights are switched on

There was certainly plenty of festive spirit in the air on Thursday night as people packed into Cookstown town centre for the annual Christmas light switch on.

Hosted by Cool FM radio presenter Pete Snodden, people lined the streets to welcome Santa and his reindeer along with a host of other children’s favourites included Olaf from Disney’s Frozen, the Gingerbread man, Snowman, Minions and many more.

Local band Hype kept the crowds entertained along with school children from primary school’s across the district.
