Video: Crowds turnout for opening of Magherafelt Christmas Market
There was a big turnout for the opening evening of Magherafelt’s Speciality Christmas Market.
Relocated to the Diamond area from the Market Yard, the popular market attracted more than 2000 people within a few hours of opening.
There are 37 stalls selling a range of tasty foodstuffs.
The market - now one of the largest in Northern Ireland - runs for three days and Saturday is expected to be very busy.
Magherafelt District Council is providing free parking in the main car parks while the market is taking place.
