UNISON representative Kim Hall told the Times that staff have been staging a daily protest outside the hospital since Health Minister Jim Wells announced that budget cuts meant that he would temporarily close the unit at the end of November.

She added that they have asked Jim Wells to visit the Dalriada but added that if he won’t come, they will go to Stormont.
