Video: Hundreds of tractors rally through Cookstown in memorial fundraiser for three-year-old

Oliver-James died unexpectedly in 2011 and since then, his parents Andrew and Laura-Jayne have organised a charity tractor rally in his name in support of Friends of Africa Missionary Endeavour [FAME] who have worked in Kenya since 1997.

Because the Stewartstown family have done so much for FAME a plaque has been erected at its Kenyan site in honour of Oliver-James by family-friend, Rodney Davidson who lives and works in the country with his young family.

As well as providing care and finding homes for abandoned babies, FAME has also worked tirelessly to set up a new unit to support children up to three-years-old.

But all this would not be possible without the generosity of people in Mid Ulster according to Cookstown man Rodney.

The McCreas and their three children travelled to Kenya in July to see first-hand how their fundraising has helped FAME.

As well as spending time with 180 orphans, they were guests of honour at the opening of a new outreach medical clinic where FAME now employs a full-time nurse.
