Video: James Henry tops the poll
Independent James Henry has topped the poll in Ballymena taking the first of seven available seats in that District Electoral Area (DEA) of Mid & East Antrim.
Speaking to the Times shortly after the result was announced he thanked those who had ‘put their trust’ in him.
With 1042 votes he was well in excess of the quota, 822.
Percentage poll for Ballymena DEA was 42.5%. Eligible electorate was 15,691 and total valid votes were 6575.
