Video: Mid Ulster SDLP and UUP candidates reflect on campaign
Mid Ulster election candidates are preparing for long night ahead with the counting of votes just getting underway in Ballymena after 1am.
The UUP’s Sandra Overend said she felt privileged to have represented her party and that she had received a good response during the campaign.
Malachy Quinn, the SDLP candidate said he had also enjoyed the campaign and hoped he could maintain his party’s share of the vote.
Both candidates also revealed what they had for dinner ahead of election night, when quizzed by the Mail reporter Shauna Corr.
