Video: Orange lodges stage protest during Magherafelt parade

Magherafelt Orange brethren staged a ‘six minute’ protest in the town centre today before leaving for the flagship Twelth demonstration in Limavady.

The protest was against the Parade Commission’s blocking of a parade in north Belfast and similar protests are expected at demonstrations across the Province.

The Orange Order said six minutes was the time required for the Lioniel lodge to complete its march.

After the protest the bands and lodges made their way to the waiting buses on the Tobermore Road.
