Video: Patsy McGlone elected on first count in Mid Ulster

A delighted Patsy McGlone paid tribute to SDLP election workers in helping him get returned to the Assembly for Mid Ulster in the first count.

Mr McGlone polled 62019 first preferences, coming second to Sinn Féin’s Ian Milne, who topped the poll with 7035, and increased the percentage share of his vote.

“It’s a vote of confidence in my work from constituents and I would like to thank each and everyone of them,” he added.
