Video: Reaching out for dementia awareness week in Cookstown

The Mid Ulster branch of the Alzheimer’s Society have been hosting a series of information days as part of dementia awareness week.

On Friday, the team were in Gordons Chemist in Cookstown to provide guidance for those concerned about the condition.

Karen Carson from the chemist said they were seeing more and more people coming forward to seek information on dementia.

Moira Shaw, a volunteer with the Alzheimer’s Society said it was important that people did not dismiss memory loss as a typical sign of ageing and said they should seek medical advice.
