Video: SF Chair does ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ at Magherafelt Christmas lights
Sinn Fein chairperson of Magherafelt District Council Kate McEldowney entered into the spirit of the festive season when she took part in an impromptu waltz at the switching on of the Christmas lights last night.
Maybe not quite Strictly Come Dancing, but it went down well with the thousands of people who packed Magherafelt town centre.
She was invited by Chris, from Castledawson, who won the dance competition for parents which was one of the highlights of the evening.
Afterwards, Councillor McEldowney said the night had been “brilliant”.
