Video: Thousands attend Christmas lights switch-on at Magherafelt
Several thousand packed into Magherafelt town centre tonight for the big switch-on of the Christmas Lights.
There was plenty of entertainment in the build-up to the switch-on, which was performed by Santa Claus and Magherafelt District Council Chairperson Councillor Kate McEldowney.
Councillor McEldowney described the event - including the Christmas Market - as “a huge success” and congratulated everyone involved in organising it.
