VIDEO: Tyrone tot begs help for his brother after teen's tragic death

Little Coen O'Hanlon's big brother Luke has Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy.

But along with his mother Claire, the toddler has joined in the fight to get Luke, just five, the help he needs to keep the condition at bay for as long as possible.

"Please help Luke," he asks in a video posted by his mother online.

Claire said: "(Yesterday) we learned about a 13-year- old boy Josh who lost his battle with Duchenne.

"Little boys like Josh won't continue to die in vain. This tragic news just strengthens our resolve.

"I'm tired of waiting for drugs that I know will slow down Luke's condition and give us more time.

"So, in the coming weeks I intend to start a campaign to support the wider campaign to get younger, older and non ambulatory boys on Sareptas exon skipping trials and I'll be asking, no actually I'll be begging for your help.

"So keep your eyes peeled to see how can help."

As part of Team 100 a number of local people are taking to the skies in a bid to raise money for Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy research, so watch out for pub quizzes, roundabout collectors... and you too can do your little bit to help find a cure for a condition that claims so many little boy's lives.
