Gale force winds and wintry showers are expected to lash Mid Ulster over the next two days, in what has been described as a weather bomb.

Weather forecasters say Tuesday night will see clear spells and wintry showers, some heavy with thunder, snow lying on hills. Occasional gale force west or southwest winds, perhaps storm force in north with large seas onto coast. Minimum Temperature 2 °C.

Wednesday: Bright or sunny spells, but with blustery, occasionally heavy, wintry showers and snow lying on hills. West or southwesterly gales, occasional storm force in north.
