VIDEO: ‘Wilson will continue McKee’s legacy’, says TUV leader
Newly elected TUV member Ruth Wilson is set to carry on the legacy of veteran Larne Alderman Jack McKee, party leader Jim Allister has told the Times.
Mrs Wilson, who won the last seat on Coast Road DEA, takes over the mantle from Ald McKee, who has served on Larne Borough Council for over 40 years. Ald McKee will be stepping down from local politics when the Mid and East Antrim Council comes into being next April.
Mr Allister paid tribute to Ald McKee for his “phenomenal record” and “diligent service”, adding that Mrs Wilson would now pick up where he leaves off.
