Village Fun Day at Cullybackey

AS part of the Summer Outreach Programme organised by Cuningham Memorial Presbyterian Church a ‘fun packed’ Village Fun Day will be held on Saturday 21 July.

Building upon the success of a similar event last year, which attracted over 800 people to the playing fields of Cullybackey High School, a team of energetic and enthusiastic volunteers have been working very hard to plan and prepare a full programme of activities which should have something of interest for all ages.

For the children there will be inflatable slides, bouncy castles and a variety of games. Those of a more competitive spirit may wish to take on the challenge of an inflatable assault course or take part in a game of cage football. Face painting, nail art sessions and the activity of jumping clay will be available for those who wish to spend time in a more leisurely way.

There will be a number of stalls on site, including a tuck shop, providing a wide range of products and intermittently throughout the afternoon local bands will provide some music to entertain those present.

A new feature of this year’s Fun Day will be a cavalcade of vintage vehicles which will make its way from Cuningham Church Hall car park through the village to the High School playing fields.

A free BBQ will be available for all present and lots of other items will no doubt prove popular to young and not so young alike.

Cullybackey High School playing fields will be the venue for all the Fun Day events and a warm invitation is extended to all in the area to come along and enjoy the activities which will run from 2pm until 6pm.
