Vintage bike ride Coast Road

SOME spectacular old motorbikes will be on view along the Coast Road this weekend.

The Northern Ireland section of the Vintage Motorcycle Club is staging runs on Saturday (June 25) and Sunday.

Sponsored by Larne Borough Council, the event features about 80 bikes dating from 1930 up to 1980 and they can be viewed each morning in the car park at the Halfway Hotel Hotel between 8.30-10.30am.

On Saturday at 10am, deputy mayor Michael Lynch will flag off the first bikers as they head off towards Glenarm and the north coast. Sunday’s tour will go towards Carrickfergus via Larne.

On both days, the bikers will return to the hotel at around 4pm.Everyone is invited to see the bikes and meet the riders.
