Vintage cars impress at Brownlow House

Brownlow House hosted the Castle Classic Car Rally with record attendance with a wide range of classic vehicles.

The main feature was a 1924 Rolls Royce and artillery field gun kindly brought and fired by Mr Black from Maghaberry.

The MG Club of Northern Ireland arrived in convoy with outriders from The Widows Sons Biker Club Masonic Lodge.

Dessie Boyd who has been treasurer of the club for 25 years said they have been coming to the Lurgan Rally for 10 years.

Alan Caldwell and Sharon of AC Restoration spoke of how much they appreciated being in such beautiful surroundings.

Ken Macklin of the Ulster Kit Car Club and many of the members revelled in the lovely afternoon sunshine.

Tommy Mathews chairman of the Brownlow Classic Car Club was praised for getting the weather right 
again.

A first time supporter of the event was Karl Boyce from Lurgan who brought along his pride and joy VW.

The RNLI had a stand to teach the community respect for water especially with the proximity to so many lakes in the Craigavon Area.

A stalwart of the Club Albert McDowell together with young Rebecca Clegg sporting their ‘Together We Can Conquer Stroke’ T shirts sold raffle tickets in aid of Craigavon Heart and Stroke group.

Thanks go out from all at the Club for all the support from Brownlow House and all who attended.
