You can also come and walk the beautiful labyrinth and find out more about what makes it so special. Unlike a maze with its dead ends and tricks you can follow the labyrinths path from start to finish as you enjoy the peace and quiet.

There is also a Herb garden and scented garden and do keep your eyes open for the spectacular Mosaics created by all the staff and trainees at Greenlight with the support of Hilary Midgeley and assisted by the Voices Fund (CFNI). The new Butterfly trail will be on show as you are invited to try to match the beautiful butterflies with the artists who created them.

Space 2 Grow has a new Garden Shop to show off as well as stocking top quality trees and shrubs at down to earth prices. Pots and planters filled on request, also ready-made baskets and containers etc. There is also a huge range of fruit and veg to grow so you can have no excuse for not giving it go. There will be special Bank Holiday offers throughout the Garden Centre and a chance to see our first allotments.

Space 2 Grow has been made possible due to the vision and drive of the entire Greenlight Gateway team who have received support and funding from Moyle District Council, Healthy Minds (Big Lottery), Ulster Garden Villages, the Co-operative Community Fund and their long term partnership with the Northern Health and Social Care Trust Day Opportunities Programme.

As Ann McILroy of Greenlight Gateway says, ‘ We are delighted to have had such great support and interest from the entire community and it is so exciting to see some of the hard work of the last months bearing fruit. This is only the first phase of Space2Grow and we hope to have more exciting developments in the coming months. All that is for the future though and for now the last words for go to one of Greenlight Gateway’s enthusiastic workers, Joe Quinn; ‘I love my job at Greenlight Gateway and it was great craic and very relaxing making the butterflies with Hilary’. So do come along and experience Space 2 Grow and the Butterflies for yourself.
