The Centre, located in the Burnavon and providing a range of information services to visitors and locals alike, is one of five nominees for the 2016 NI Travel and Tourism Awards, which recognise excellence in customer service in the industry.

Paying tribute to the staff, Chair of the Council, Councillor Trevor Wilson, said: “To be shortlisted in a competitive category which includes the likes of Visit Belfast is an achievement in itself and testament to the high quality advice and information which the staff provide whether in person to those who come through the doors of the centre, over the phone, or increasingly, with on-line enquiries from across the world”.

The award winners will be announced on Friday, October 21, at a special ceremony in the Slieve Donard Hotel, Newcastle.
