Visitors’ night at Derriaghy
Derriaghy WI President Anne Hunter welcomed members and guests to Visitors’ Night in April.
The speaker was Colin from Boots Opticians.
He explained that many eye conditions like cataracts, glaucoma etc, when detected early, can receive the right type of treatment and protect your eyesight.
He also stressed the importance of protecting our eyes from the rays of the sun with the right kind of lenses.

Hide AdFollowing a delicious supper, members were given the final arrangements for the May outing.
The competition for An Old or Unusual pair of glasses was won by Vera Spratt.
Ballot prizes were won by many of the guests and an enjoyable evening came to a close with the singing of The Countrywoman’s Song.
