Visitors’ Night at Ravarnette WI
RAVARNETTE: The March meeting of the WI was Visitors’ Night. President Brenda Gillespie welcomed visitors from Ballylesson, Drumbo, Hillhall, Maghaberry and Dromore and introduced the Pampered Chef - Joanne Porter who cooked a savoury dish and two members took part in ‘Can’t Cook Won’t Cook’. Joanne had a lovely display of cooking utensils and gadgets on sale.
Competition for a Teaspoon was won by Beth Dunlop, 2nd Margery Howarth and 3rd Maureen Campbell. Ballot winner was Helen Marks and the Visitors’ Ballot was won by Yvonne Simpson. Birthday girl was Ann McCurdy.
Roberta Ferguson gave a vote of thanks on behalf of the visitors.
The evening ended with a lovely supper and singing a Country Woman’s Song.
