Mayor of Craigavon, Councillor Alan Carson said: “I am passionate about volunteering within local communities. I recently learned that 21% of the population in Northern Ireland are currently recognised as volunteers. This is great, but I’d like to really encourage people from all walks of life to give it a go, because we need more help.

“I want to inspire people and remind them that volunteering is open to everyone, and there are lots of ways to get involved.”
